Wednesday, June 17th, 2009Today, Resolution Copper President and CEO David Salisbury, and Superstition Area Land Trust Executive Director, Rosemary Shearer testified before the sub-committee on Forests and Public Lands. Testimony concerned S409, Southeast Arizona Land Exchange and Conservation Act of 2009.
Land Exchange Hearing scheduled
Thursday, June 11th, 2009The Subcommittee on Public Lands and Forests of the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources will hold a hearing on our bill S.409 on Wednesday, June 17 at 2:30 p.m. EDT. Delivering testimony on behalf of Resolution Copper are President and CEO David Salisbury and Rosemary Shearer, Executive Director of the Superstition Area Land Trust.

Scholarship program dinner
Thursday, June 11th, 2009On June 3, Resolution Copper hosted a dinner to honor the 2009 scholarship
recipients. Attendees included scholarship recipients, family members and school administrators, as well as Resolution Copper staff that assisted in the selection process. Resolution Copper President David Salisbury welcomed all attendees and congratulated recipients on their accomplishments. Each recipient was also given a portfolio to assist them with their schoolwork. The group was treated to a great dinner catered by Superior-based Café Piedra Roja.
Life Sciences class complete

Last week saw the final presentation of projects by Superior Junior High 7th and 8th grade students participating in a Life Sciences class. The class, formulated by ASU’s School of Life Sciences and sponsored by Resolution Copper is run by Ms. Denogean and Ms. Todd at the Junior High School.
Approximately 30 students participate in this
program which focuses on various scientific aspects. Students are instructed to come up with a hypothesis, research, compile data and come to a conclusion for their final projects. Resolution Copper congratulates all students on their successful completion of this class.
